Key:

  • Layer Height: Standard layer height the design is printed in. On special requests, certain materials can be printed in different layer heights.
  • Default Infill: Standard infill used to print the design. The infill level for FDM materials can be selected during the material selection process. Other materials can be hollowed after printing, upon special requests. For further information on Infill, please visit our article here.
  • Tolerance: The acceptable dimensional deviation of a part/feature from its intended size. Certain materials can be printed in tighter tolerances upon special requests.
  • Minimum details: The minimum detail size that can be printed. The minimum printable size would increase for larger designs.
  • Printable wall thickness: The minimum thickness of walls that can be printed. Designs with walls thinner than the requirement are at risk of breaking during or after the print. Please keep in mind this is the minimum requirement and the ideal wall thickness would increase depending on the size of the part.
  • Warping risk: Risk of a design warping post-print. Bigger designs and designs with a flat structure/surface are at risk.
  • Embossing/Engraving: The minimum depth and width of the text/design that can be printed in a model. The ideal ratio is 1:1 for depth and width. Sans-serif fonts have proved to have the best results.

Points to consider:

  • Multi-model file: 3D Files with more than 1 design/model. It is not possible to print this type of 3D file. It is recommended to split the designs/models into individual files. 
  • Supports: Support structures are automatically added to your designs by us. It is recommended to not have pre designed supports in the models as it could affect the printing process.
  • Orientation: Designs are oriented by us in the orientation that will result in the best outcome. You can also inform us if you have a specific required orientation and it will be taken into consideration.
